Dear Fellow Blogger,
Have you been hard on yourself with your blogging growth? I sure was, but not anymore! After looking at my traffic, which was almost cut in half, I really got to take a deep look into the things that really matter. Although numbers were low, there were other areas in my business that were so great! I am very proud of myself for where I am at with my blog.
If you just look at the numbers, you will miss out on the bigger picture of what you are really out to accomplish.
I have been able to be at home with my kids full time and yet, still be able to run this blog, help others improve with their health, create healthy grain free recipes and make positive changes in their lives. Now isn’t that something to be proud of? Absolutely!
So wherever you are with your blog, look at the first month of where you were, look at where you are now. Has there been growth? Most likely. Be proud of yourself, acknowledge what you are doing and keep going.
The purpose of these income reports is to give you resources to grow in your blog or to inspire you to share your passion & creativity by starting a food blog. Be sure to subscribe to get my free ebook, “How to Create Infographics for Pinterest that Go Viral”. It is an easy step by step tutorial that has allowed me to get thousands of pins per recipe!
Page views took a big nose dive in September but I did not post that often so it is to expect. You don’t post, traffic will take a dive.
Pinterest still is my biggest source of traffic thanks to the Master Pinterest Course I took. About 70% of my traffic is from Pinterest.
This month I only got two posts done. I spent a lot of trial and error developing the Grain Free Everything Cinnamon Rolls but in the end they came out great! I am glad that I really took the time to perfect the dough and this recipe because it has been one of my most popular pins on Pinterest. As of March 2017, it has 7,600 pins while the Fantastic Roasted Vegetables has only 1,600 pins.
- I launched a Paleo Baking Fall Recipes E-Book in collaboration with Michelle Deberge at GlutenSugarDairyFree. It was really great collaborating with her and her community. She is an amazing person to work with and I love her community. She is more of a savory chef so she was looking for a collaboration for a healthy baking and dessert ebook.
- I enrolled in the Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers E-Course by Tasha Agruso. She is a successful blogger and affiliate marketer. I don’t know any other bloggers that are as successful in affiliate marketing as she is! After taking her course, I decided to switch over most of my affiliate links from Viglink to Amazon Affiliates. I saw immediate results after taking this course. Thank you Tasha!
- I switched over from Tailwind to Viraltag , a scheduler for my pins for Pinterest. You can schedule to Facebook, Twitter, etc. Both have very great features, and very different features at that. After trying both, I decided to stick with Viraltag. The reason I changed back to Viraltag is because I can schedule a pin to multiple days for the whole month on Pinterest. I really like this method. For example, I like to schedule my Grain Free Everything Dough on Friday, Saturday and Sunday when more people are on Pinterest to my group boards. I can schedule this pin out ahead to the whole month at the exact time I like. I take about an hour at the beginning of the month and schedule out my top 10 pins to group boards using Viraltag. I also schedule new content using a Viraltag extension to go out throughout the month. It has been great!
- I ended up loving Pop-up Ally so I decided to go upgrade to the Pro Membership. It was highly recommended by another blogger and I am glad that I took her advice. It is really easy to use and the pop-ups look beautiful.

What I learned this month was to really enjoy where I am at with my blog. That quality is more important than quantity. That in the summer when kids are at home, I either need to let go and have fun with my family and not stress out about blogging. To be grateful of where I am.
I also learned that it is really important to invest back into my blog right now. I invested in the Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers Course and saw great results right away! It is wise to learn from other successful bloggers and do what has worked for them. I really enjoyed learning from Tasha and I had no idea how much I was missing out by not using the Amazon Affiliate program directly.
I learned that creating an E-Book is really hard work, but it is worth it in the end because I contribute to the lives of others and feel really awesome about it when it’s done!
I had coached a client go through my personalized coaching programs and that is one of the things that brings me the most joy! To be able to see a huge transformation in another persons life and health is a huge gift! Sometimes I wonder who gets more out of the coaching, the client or myself 🙂
Have an amazing day and thanks for stopping by!
