If you’ve been missing a light and fluffy, naturally sweetened whipped cream that actually tastes homemade, this one’s creamy, dreamy, and totally gluten-free friendly. Let me show you how quick and satisfying it is to whip up from scratch.
WHIPPED CREAM INGREDIENTS USED:
To make it, you’ll need a KitchenAid stand mixer or handheld mixer to beat the cream to medium peaks. Here’s how each ingredient contributes to the recipe:
- Chilled Heavy whipping cream -the base that gives whipped cream its rich, fluffy texture. It whips up beautifully into soft peaks and adds that indulgent, creamy mouthfeel we all love. Just make sure your cream is very cold.
- Maple syrup-naturally sweetens the cream without the need for refined sugar. It adds a warm, subtle depth of flavor that makes this naturally sweetened whipped cream feel a little extra special.
- Pure vanilla extract-enhances the flavor with a touch of vanilla and rounds everything out and makes the whipped cream taste homemade and comforting.
Together, these three ingredients create a fluffy homemade whipped cream recipe that’s simple, wholesome, and way better than store-bought.

HOW TO MAKE FLUFFY HOMEMADE WHIPPED CREAM
STEP 1: Add chilled cream, maple syrup and vanilla to a large mixing bowl.
STEP 2: Beat all ingredients on medium speed. If using a stand mixer, stay near bowl so you do not over beat your ingredients and make butter.
STEP 3: Beat until medium peaks form.
EXPERT TIP FOR MAKING HOMEMADE WHIPPED CREAM
Never leave your stand mixer unattended when making whipped cream. This really takes only 1 minute to make. If you over mix, you will turn your whipped cream into butter. For the best whipped cream, chill your mixing bowl and beaters to keep the cream cold, helping it whip faster and hold its shape longer. I would highly recommend this step during summertime when items get warm in the home.
HOW TO STORE LEFTOVER WHIPPED CREAM
Store homemade whipped cream in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. If it starts to separate, gently re-whip it before serving.
There you have it! An easy fluffy homemade whipped cream made in just 1 minute! I hope this becomes your go-to whipped cream family favorite as it has been mine! Enjoy!

- Nutrition data shows using 1 teaspoon of maple syrup. If I am going to serve the whipped cream with something that is already sweet, I add less sweetener to the whipped cream to balance out the dessert. If you are going to serve the whipped cream with something tangy, like strawberries, I would recommend you use 2 teaspoons of maple syrup.
