This Ultimate Paleo Salted Caramel Sauce is oh so good! Even though there is coconut milk in this sauce, there is no coconut flavor! The combination of coconut sugar and maple syrup combined create this amazing luscious sauce! It’s like magic caramel in a jar!
This paleo caramel sauce is fool proof. You just add the coconut milk, coconut oil, coconut sugar and maple syrup to a saucepan and let it simmer for 30 minutes. It will reduce by half and slightly thicken. Just whisk occasionally. It is ready when it coats the back of a spoon.
Allow your caramel sauce to cool to room temperature and either eat right away or pour it into a glass jar and store in the fridge.
You can drizzle this Ultimate Paleo Caramel Sauce over Paleo Apple Pizza Pie Bites, Grain Free Death by Chocolate Zucchini Bread or Paleo Dark Chocolate Ice Cream. Oh the results are heavenly!

This coconut based sauce is simmered to a perfect caramel texture and flavored with a hint of maple syrup, coconut sugar, vanilla and salt. It is simple to make and fool proof! Ingredients
- 1 13.5 ounce can of full fat coconut milk
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1 Tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- To a small saucepan, add coconut milk, coconut sugar, maple syrup and coconut oil. Whisk occasionally and bring to a boil and reduce to a high simmer.
- Simmer for about 30 minutes or until sauce has reduced by half and can coat the back of a spoon. Remove from stove and stir in vanilla and salt.
- Allow mixture to cool and store in the fridge in a sealed container. Mixture will thicken once it cools.
