Ultimate Paleo Salted Caramel Sauce-a delicious caramel that melts in your mouth, is full of flavor and completely dairy free. This coconut based sauce is simmered to a perfect caramel texture and flavored with a hint of maple syrup, coconut sugar, vanilla and salt. It is simple to make and fool proof! Perfect for drizzling over ice cream, apple slices and brownies.

- 1 13.5 ounce can of full fat coconut milk
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1 Tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- To a small saucepan, add coconut milk, coconut sugar, maple syrup and coconut oil. Whisk occasionally and bring to a boil and reduce to a high simmer.
- Simmer for about 30 minutes or until sauce has reduced by half and can coat the back of a spoon. Remove from stove and stir in vanilla and salt.
- Allow mixture to cool and store in the fridge in a sealed container. Mixture will thicken once it cools.
